Bridges Out of Poverty Seminar
This seminar provides insights into the effects of poverty across social and economic groups, aiming to provide avenues of success for everyone. For the duration of the seminar you will explore the "hidden rules" of the socioeconomic classes and break down misconceptions of poverty, working toward the common goal of promoting compassionate understanding throughout our communities. The seminar is based on the book "Bridges Out of Poverty," by Ruby Payne, Philip DeVol, and Terie Smith. It is available for purchase at Crisis Control's administrative offices for $10, but knowledge of the book's contents are not required to attend. Bridges Out of Poverty is offered to our community members free of charge - we still request that you register ahead of time so we can have an accurate headcount.
