Help Crisis Control Ministry fill 100 watermelon bins with non-perishable food items to make up for the loss of Food Day at the Fair!
As you may have heard, the Carolina Classic Fair has been canceled for 2020. This will be a huge loss for our food pantries as Crisis Control Ministry was the sole beneficiary of Food Day at the Fair. Traditionally for every 5 non-perishable food items, a person brings to Food Day at the Fair, they receive a free admission ticket to the fair for that day. Last year, we collected more than 70,000 food items which helped us to provide food for our neighbors for 6 months. Without the fair happening this year, Crisis Control Ministry is calling upon community members to help.
As of 9/30/20, we have raised $53,967.98 dollars and 54,248 pounds of food for the 100 Bin Challenge. The fundraising total reflected in our fundraising bar includes the monetary value of the food donations.
Organize a food drive in your neighborhood, church, or office to help! You can make a difference and feed your neighbors. See our list of recommended items to donate below.
If you decide to host a food drive, we want to hear about it! Please tell us about your food drive by completing the food drive form on the how-to host a food drive webpage. We can provide you with collection bins, marketing posters, and more to help you promote your food drive.
