The poverty simulations are great opportunities for groups to gain sensitivity and appreciation for our neighbors living near the poverty level. This week, we had a meaningful experience with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school teachers from Whitaker and Easton Elementary Schools. Of course, schools aren't the only participants - they are excellent for other groups: churches, corporate team building, and civic groups as well...
